[ Blog ] busy week.
So I was supposed to do my shoot at a-kon last weekend. Unfortunately being a Babbage Patch Kid member and model ate my time and the time of my photographer. So I am doing it today. Found out Wednesday my last remaining grandparent, my grandpa up in Illinois died. due to money and plane tickets being so expensive I will not be attending his funeral. This might be for the best as the family up there is reallllllly super conservative and made a big deal about my tattoos last time I visited... Just what would they say if they knew I have a chest piece and two more tattoos? Let alone that one of them is a Pentacle? I don't know and I don't care really. They nearly left me at the airport last time. The only thing that made them pick me up instead of leave me was my grandpa. I prolly wouldn't have known he died except my half sister still keeps in touch. Meh. I miss him but i never got the chance to visit all that much. I've seen him maybe 9 times in my entire life and only twice after my father passed away. Once for chiristmas/ new years when I was 15 and then for my grandma's funeral when I was 18. He's still my family though so I will mourn him and light a candle in his name for the next week or so. His picture will go up on my altar along with those other family members I have lost... I'm dedicating this shoot to him and my father, both of whom have passed on. The theme is introductions, and I'm wearing something I wear quite often, with an added bit. My father's Petty Officer First class chevron pin. Both he and my grandpa were military men and i chose my favorite green and brown outfit to go with it. Thought of doing a bit of a cammo theme with the makeup but decided to be girly and feminine... I'm happy and a bit sad today. My fiance spoiled me last night with Peiwei and rocky mountain chocolate factory so my mood was greatly lifted. As well as cuddle time watching stargate on the couch.
